British scientists have identified genes that control the aging process.</strong></p>
<p>For now, however, the discovery could pave the way for new generation drugs that prevent many diseases, from the heart to Alzheimer&#8217;s. </p>
<p>Following laboratory tests, researchers found that mutations of these genes made may extend the life of certain animals such as worms and mice &#8211; and probably very effective for people. </p>
<p>Professor Linda Partridge, director of the Institute for the healthy aging of the University College London, said the discovery could help treat or prevent many diseases in simultaneously. </p>
<p>UK teacher said that blocking the causes of aging, not treat symptoms, may be the best way to prevent diseases associated advancement in age.</p>
